Company Background

Tessa Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing a portfolio of next-generation cell therapies for cancer. It has a pipeline of therapies in clinical development for the treatment of hematological malignancies and solid tumors.

Tessa’s lead autologous therapy is in late-stage clinical development for treatment of lymphomas. It has shown strong clinical responses in patients with relapsed/refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma, based on which it was granted the RMAT designation by the U.S. FDA and the PRIME designation by EMA.

Tessa is also developing a novel, differentiated, allogeneic “off-the shelf” cell therapy platform to create more efficacious, reliable, and scalable therapies capable of targeting a broad range of cancers. A therapy using this platform is being evaluated in an ongoing clinical trial in United States.

Senior Executive, Procurement

Responsibilities

  • Performs effective sourcing and supplier management for assigned indirect spend categories in compliance with the company policy and standard procedures.
  • Collaborates with Engineering, Facilities and Safety department to ensure operations continuity and service delivery to support site activities.
  • Develops an effective contract management system and supports the Engineering, Facilities and Safety department to complete the site master plan for calibration and maintenance activities.
  • Key SAP user representative for Procurement procure-to-pay process. Maintains and upkeeps training guides to facilitate user trainings and onboarding. Main liaison with Tessa IT department and Tessa appointed service providers for tickets resolution, documents review and performing user acceptance test (if any) within a routine environment.
  • Participates and provides support for vendor change notifications review related to assigned categories.
  • Resolves issues or escalations triggered by requestors and ensures that all business relationships within the area of responsibilities are well-managed.
  • Contributes to the overall good performance metrics within the Procurement team.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and/or any projects assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experience managing indirect spend categories, preferably in a pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Prior start-up experience and knowledge of cGMP requirements are desirable.
  • Well-versed and strong in language for general contracts management, review, and administration.
  • Excellent ability in problem-solving, prioritizing urgent tasks and handling detailed information.
  • Possess good understanding of suppliers’ landscapes, independent, resourceful and can drive and engage stakeholders with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, highly adaptable and able to manage workload based on changing priorities.
  • Possess good leadership skills, able to influence, present and collaborate positively in a cross-matrix environment.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge in SAP MM preferred.
